Due to continued expansion and growth a well known Equine Feed brand, is looking for an experienced and proactive Equine Nutritionist. This is an exciting opportunity working in a senior role as a key member of this company’s Nutritional Team. The successful candidate will play a major part in product development, formulating new feeds, conducting feed trials, sampling and the nutritional analysis of feeds in-line with current legislation. The role also includes giving equine nutritional advice over the phone, email and at shows and events, writing articles for internal and external publications, and writing and presenting nutritional lectures. In addition to equine knowledge and experience, we are also looking for someone who can give nutritional advice for smallholder animals such as poultry, pigs, sheep, goats and cattle. This is an integral position with ample opportunity for growth. Key Skills: Equine hands-on experience, relevant qualifications and experience essential. Creativity, drive, enthusiasm and a proactive approach. Organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Customer Service / people skills. Excellent writing skills. Flexibility. Some husbandry or feeding experience with farm livestock would be preferable. The minimum qualification for the role is a relevant degrees which could be from : Equine Science, Equine Studies, Animal Science and Animal Management (BSc or HND) notwithstanding a second degree to a masters level would be advantageous Some travel will be required with this jobRenumeration
