R3271 Arable Agronomy Director - Ukraine
DESCRIPTION: JOB TITLE:
Head of Agronomy
Retained on behalf of a major investment company in the Ukraine, the senior role of Head of Agronomy is required to direct the technical services across 150,000 hectares of combineable crops including Soybeans and Sunflower. The company's current growth structure is to acquire approximately a further 25,000 hectares per annum.
An outstanding candidate is wanted who has advanced, up to date technological knowledge and considerable practical experience in agronomy on large scale arble operations (probably) in Eastern Europe. The successful arable champion would take over responsibility for growing technology of the company's rape, wheat, soy, sunflower seed and barley crops.
The key to success in this post will be the ability to implement best practice and standards on all the company's Ukrainian farm business through training and motivation of farm agronomists, farm managers and area managers. From experience, language skills are important in getting the local staff engaged ie. Ukrainian or Russian as well as English. Candidates will need to be computer literate.
REMUNERATION:
For this essential champion of arble technical services, a considerable salary and benefits package is available for negotiation. Certainly it is envisaged a significant salary above £50k will be available.
