DESCRIPTION:
On behalf of a leading horticultural business working over 30 acres of “state of the Art” glasshouses, Shire Consulting is looking for an Procurement Controller to deal with the purchase and delivery of goods and third party haulage
This successful business operates across twelve production sites locally utilising the latest computer-controlled transplanting and growing systems and operate a fleet of light goods vehicles, tractors and associated equipment.
The Procurement Controller is a “hands on” role dealing with the purchase of goods and third party haulage in the growing of plants and their delivery to site to a specific time schedule. The role demands excellent communication and people skills working in a strong but small team environment. Candidates will need to demonstrate strong organisational and planning ability allied to “delivery to today” approach. The job offers a key facilitating role in a company with plenty of future opportunity for ambitious candidate.
The role will provide the variety of dealing with both suppliers as well as certain major “DIY” branded shed chain stores. Computer software skills are important particularly spreadsheets. This senior position is a challenging opportunity and will suit candidates who is well organised and practical with loads of commonsense
REMUNERATION:
A Senior Salaried and Permanent Position £25K plus, according to experience and qualifications
