A leading horticultural business in Lancashire working over 30 acres of “state of the Art” glasshouses, requires horticultural plant people as “grow- out” managers to liaise with the third party growers in the growing of the company's bedding plants.

This successful business operates across twelve production sites locally, utilising the latest computer-controlled transplanting and growing systems and operate a fleet of light goods vehicles, tractors and associated equipment.

Grow out managers are sought to liaise with the third party contracted glasshouse growers, reporting to the production manager. In the event that prior expertise with plant growing is limited, a full training of newly appointed candidates will take place in the first two years of employment

This position is open to candidates from all Horticultural or Agricultural disciplines; however specific experience and/or qualifications in the following may increase your chances:

• Minimum Horticultural qualification
• Previous plant or farm site experience and related family work experience
• Practical plant experience

Good IT skills are essential. The candidate's ability to work and lead a team is fundamental along with a “hands on” approach and a “do it to-day” attitude
