JOB TITLE:
Quality Assurance Person- South Lancashire
On behalf of a leading horticultural business working over 30 acres of “state of the Art” glasshouses, Shire Consulting is looking for an quality assurance person to carry essential both the quality assurance and quality control to the significant output of bedding and horticultural plants produced on the site.
This successful business operates across twelve production sites locally, utilising the latest computer-controlled transplanting and growing systems and operate a fleet of light goods vehicles, tractors and associated equipment. The company has adopted the horticultural industry's BOPP assurance standard and achieved the top “gold” operating award in 2007
The successful candidate will plan and take charge of the company's quality assurance scheme on site and as well seeing that the set standard products for the retail at the time of despatch are adhered to in coordination with operation and production management. Fundamental to third party audits on site, the new quality assurance person will prepare and lead customer and scheme audits on site
Candidates should have some background and preferably some work experience in quality assurance. Training in the quality control of production output will be given in event of the type of product is new to the new candidate
