On behalf of a large agricultural supply business, a sales executive is required to sell a full range of dairy hygiene and teat dip products to dairy farmers in the North Somerset area. The successful candidate will champion sales at the farmgate by ensuring producers gain the best price for their milk. There is an existing customer base to takeover.
This sales executive will technically support and sell to livestock farm customers by the promotion and sale of its hygiene products to ensure the production of the cleanest quality milk possible. Candidates will be expected to support sales by communicating technical services packages and the use of company’s products to deliver the benefits of enhanced clean milk sold off farm
Whilst previous experience of sales in dairy hygiene would be desirable, it is likely someone with knowledge of dairy cows and practical milking that has a desire and aptitude to sell, will be considered also.
Some formal qualification would be desirable for the role albeit not essential for the right personality who can sell and has a good knowledge of dairy cows and farmers. Good communication skills are essential for this role; candidates will need to create and develop strong personal relationships with the company’s farmer customer.
Good computer and IT skills are essential for this role
The basic salary will be commensurate to related commercial dairy skills together with any relevant sales experience and network. Normal company benefits will include a vehicle, private pension, etc. There is a future additional bonus arrangement to be paid with the package
