R515 Dairy Equipment Sales Executive

DESCRIPTION:
On behalf of a large dairy engineering business, a dairy equipment salesperson is required to sell a full range of dairy equipment and milking parlours. There is an existing customer base to takeover and expand.

This sales executive will technically support and sell to dairy farmer customers by the promotion and sale of its dairy milking equipment.  Previous sales experience to dairy farmers together with experience of using either a milking parlour is essential or working with lactating dairy cows would be advantageous, for this sales role. This could be a role for Herdsperson with excellent parlour knowledge who has the drive to succeed with an outgoing personality.

For Candidates without the background of dairy engineer, will need to pick up on the challenge of learning dairy engineering and how the various components of dairy equipment work. Everyday refrigeration and liquid cooling  skills will be part of learning challenge. Ultimately this newly appointed dairy equipment sales executive will be expected to support sales by communicating technical benefits of its parlour and milking equipment packages.

Good communication skills are essential for this Dairy Equipment Sales Executive. Candidates will need to create and develop strong personal relationships with the company’s farmer customers.

Good computer and IT skills are essential for this role.

Candidates will be expected to attend the central office at least once or twice per week in normal working times. Face to face contact with dairy farmers is essential for this selling role and there will be a need for extensive car miles in a normal work environment.

REMUNERATION:
An excellent salary will be commensurate to related commercial dairy equipment background together with any relevant sales experience and network. Normal company benefits will include a fully expensed vehicle, private pension, etc.

Midlands Trading Territory -South of Birmingham, plus South West England, South and Mid Wales
